The Anchorage offers three courses of lessons concerning mysticism:

  • Mystic Spirituality – This course introduces you to the basics of Mysticism. Mysticism is a process of getting closer to God by preparing your spirit to receive the communication of His presence. The subjects will get you to think about what God means to you and what affect He has on your life and your world. The text includes the subject material, dictionary of words which may be unfamiliar, questions to get you to think about the subject, an essay to give you the opportunity to tell how you feel, and an appropriate quote from one of the mystic writers throughout history. The doctrine covered can be used by someone with no religion or with any religion that believes in one God.

Subject #1      What is God?

Subject #2      What is the Creator Like?

Subject #3      How do Mystics Relate to God?

Subject #4      What does Mystic Spirituality Mean?

Subject #5      Why Should we Study Mysticism?

Subject #6      What Makes Mysticism Different?

Subject #7      What is the Process of Mystic Spirituality?

Subject #8      How Does Mystic Prayer Work?

Subject #9      What is the Principle of Self-Abandonment?

Subject #10     How is Union with God Achieved?

Please be patient as I review and upload the rest of the subjects for this course.

  • Christian Mysticism – In this study, you'll learn how we came to be worthy of a union with God through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. The lessons show you how the basics of Mysticism that you've already learned relate to Jesus' work and teaching. It presents stories of how Christians through the ages have come to a mystic relationship with God.

Please be patient as I upload the lessons for this course.

  • Applied Mysticism – Now you will be encouraged to apply what you've learned in the first two courses to everyday issues that come up. You will read The Anchorage's topics and then write your own essays on the same topics from your point of view.

          SPECIAL OFFER --

MYSTICISM COURSES FOR PRISON INMATES

Besides generally encouraging mystic practices and prayer, The Anchorage is specifically a prison ministry, focusing on inmates who would like to take advantage of an opportunity to improve their lives through spiritual devotions. Devotional Mysticism is a good place to start for anyone who is searching for life purpose but may have little or no religious background. The theory is that if one starts by exploring their spirituality they will form the habit of being comfortable with God, and will be better able to recognize God's word for them. To return to society as a God-minded person would truly be a benefit for individual, family, society, nation, and world.

The Anchorage offers presently-incarcerated individuals a certificate upon the completion of each of the three Devotional Mysticism courses. There is no charge for this service, however inmates will be responsible for postage to return the lessons they complete. The courses and other written materials will be sent to the inmate; The Anchorage will monitor the student's progress and send suggestions and encouragement. If the inmate completes all three courses he or she will be issued a diploma in the Devotional Mysticism Degree, which confers on them the title of Assistant Minister to The Anchorage Mystic Ministry.

If you know an inmate who might be interested in these educational materials, please have them contact us by mail for an application. Our address is:
