Here are some websites that I like and hope you will like as well.

The first set are general links; some just for information and some for opportunities.

The second set of links are other personal, spirituality-oriented sites that interest me.

THE ANCHORAGE MYSTIC MINISTRY

Centers of Light is a welcoming spiritual community and a school for spiritual training and development in the ancient tradition of Christian Mysticism.  From here you can access SOPHIA RADIO to listen to inspiring Christian music as you work on your computer.

Christos Center for Spiritual Formation conducts classes in active contemplation and offers retreats and innercity pilgrimages.  They offer distance courses in spiritual guidance.

We Remembered Them is a letter-writing ministry to prisoners.

Voice of the Martyrs ministers to the persecuted church.  This site also links to the Prisoner Alert program where you can write to Christians who are prisoners of governments that outlaw adherence to Christianity, or to the officials themselves.

ECS Ministries distributes the Emmaus Correspondence Course from the largest correspondence school in the world, serving 25 million students.  The Prison/Jail Impact ministry offers 70 different classes in English, including 4 strictly for prison ministry.

Truth-Be-Told serves woman prisoners.

The Center for Sacred Sciences offers programs exploring the mystical traditions, their universal principles, and their compatibility with modern science.

Prison Ministry Press provides press releases, news updates, and publishing of articles.

Godfriends introduces women mystics and their teachings.

Heifer International prepares disadvantaged families to run small-enterprise agricultural projects, and then seeds the businesses with gifts of livestock from donors.

Prison Forum conducts forum topics on prisons and prison ministry; you can add the prison you're interested in and network with others.

CrossDaily is a web search where you can VOTE FOR THIS SITE and other great ones; a Christian search engine, directory and voting index. You'll find Bible, chat, churches, jobs, music, reviews, software, theology, and more.

Volunteer Match proves that there are hundreds of ways to help out, and it's never been easier to find a rewarding way to give back and make a difference. Look through many volunteer opportunities that connect good people with good causes. There are even virtual opportunities that can be done from home. Find an item that fits your interest, skills and schedule.

Christian Classics Ethereal Library scans Christian writings of all sorts and puts them in an online format for downloading and reading.

Distributed Proofreaders is a volunteer force working to help get public domain manuscripts from all different genres published electronically so “out of print” doesn't mean “out of importance”. This would be an interesting opportunity for those who think they'd be good at checking the optical scans for errors and fixing the pages for further proofing. You can work as little or as much as you want – it's friendly and there's no pressure to perform.

Crosswalk Directory Over 18,000 wholesome, family friendly, Christian websites.

Quodlibet is an quarterly online journal that contains articles on Christian Theology and Philosophy. You can click on the topics that you want to read, or go to the submissions page to find out how to get your own articles published here!
